An exciting opportunity came to the Valencia Boat Show with the unveiling of the restored Pepolo, our beloved 1980s wooden training ship. From 28 October to 1 November 2022, as part of the Valencia Boat Show, we took this unique chance to show the world the impressive transformation we carried out on the Pepolo.
This historic yacht, which has been a fundamental part of our passages and sail training, underwent a complete refit that has restored its splendour and significantly improved its performance on the water.
During the Valencia Boat Show, the Pepolo became the centre of attention, where members, sailors and sea lovers had the chance to see every detail of its restoration up close.
The Pepolo’s full refit was an ambitious project, where every aspect of the boat was carefully attended to. From the hull to the rigging, every detail was perfected to ensure the yacht keeps its charm and authenticity while benefiting from the latest nautical innovations and technology.
Visitors to the Valencia Boat Show were impressed to discover the result of this transformation. The Pepolo looks more striking and elegant than ever, ready to embark on new adventures at sea.
But the Pepolo’s presentation didn’t focus only on its exterior; we also showed the renovated, improved interior to offer our sailors a more comfortable and welcoming experience.
The interior spaces were refitted with special care to preserve the essence of this classic yacht, while modern comforts were added to ensure a comfortable stay during passages.
The Valencia Boat Show was also a chance to highlight the Pepolo’s historic and educational value as a training ship, fostering sail training and a passion for the sea among those attending.
From the Saudade Club, we are thrilled to share this new chapter of the Pepolo with all Club members and the wider public. This unveiling at the Valencia Boat Show marks an important milestone in the history of this iconic boat and reflects our commitment to excellence in sailing and sail training.
