Cruising yachts are designed for long passages, with interior accommodation that prioritises comfort over speed. Most also have an engine for manoeuvring in ports and keeping moving when the wind drops.

Boats can be classified by their design and structure into several types: sports, fishing, passenger transport, merchant, recreational or combat, depending on their intended purpose. All our cruising yachts are recreational craft.

Recreational craft are boats of any kind, regardless of their means of propulsion, with a hull length between 2.5 and 24 metres, designed and intended for recreational and sporting purposes, and carrying no more than 12 passengers.

Maritime navigation zones are designated areas in seas, oceans, rivers and other bodies of water where vessels can operate and navigate. There are 7 maritime zones classified according to distance from the coast, organised in decreasing numbers. This means Zone 1 is the furthest from the coast and Zone 7 the closest. Zone 1: Unlimited navigation. Zone 2: Up to 60 miles from the coast. Zone 3: Up to 25 miles from the coast. Zone 4: Up to 12 miles from the coast. Zone 5: Up to 5 miles from an accessible beach or shelter. Zone 6: Similar to Zone 5, but with a maximum distance of 2 miles. Zone 7: Limited to sheltered coastal waters, ports, bays and any other protected waters.

Our yachts are designed for Zone 2 navigation, which allows sailing up to 60 miles.

Zone 2 covers boats designed to sail at sea, in the area between the coast and a parallel line drawn 60 miles out. They must also carry the compulsory safety equipment on board.
