One of our most highly rated courses is back, with a clear, practical approach designed to mark a turning point in the way you sail.
In this rigging and sail trim course you’ll work on the fundamentals that really matter on board: the ones that make the difference between simply sailing and understanding how the yacht responds in every situation. It’s aimed at sailors of all levels who want to gain judgement, safety and confidence in handling the boat.
What will you learn?
Throughout the day we’ll combine a clear theoretical base with real practice on board, because it’s by sailing that you truly understand the sails, the tensions and the decisions you have to make.
-
Perform hoisting and lowering manoeuvres with judgement, fluidity and safety.
-
Learn to adjust the rig and understand how it influences the balance and behaviour of the yacht.
-
Read the wind and make the most of it on every point of sail and in every manoeuvre.
Real practice on board
The whole course takes place aboard the yacht Morrocoy, fitted with a Marconi rig. We’ll work in real sailing conditions, which lets you absorb the concepts naturally and apply them directly to your day-to-day as skipper or crew.
Where and when?
- Date: Saturday 17 January
- Time: 10:00 to 18:00
- Boat: Morrocoy
- Location: Valencia Mar
A course designed to build confidence
If you want to stop sailing on intuition and start doing it with judgement, understanding why the boat responds the way it does, this course is for you. You’ll come away with a much clearer understanding of trim, rigging and reading the wind, gaining confidence and control in every manoeuvre.
